Instructions for Company Computer Setup - Camp Internet Protection
⚠️ Important: These steps require administrator privileges. Follow instructions exactly as written.

Install NextDNS & Configure
- Download NextDNS installer: Download NextDNS
- Run the installer as Administrator
- After installation, right-click on the NextDNS icon in the system tray
- Select "Settings"
- Set Configuration ID as: e267a9
- Right-click on NextDNS icon again and click "Enable"

Secure System & Disable Games
Copy and paste this command into Command Prompt (Run as Administrator):
reg add "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System" /v ConsentPromptBehaviorAdmin /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f && reg add "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Google\Chrome" /v AllowDinosaurEasterEgg /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f && reg add "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Edge" /v AllowSurfGame /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f
Steps:
- Click Start Menu and search for "cmd"
- Right-click on "Command Prompt" and select "Run as administrator"
- Paste the command above and press Enter
- You should see: "The operation completed successfully"
This command does 3 things:
- 🔒 Requires password for software uninstallation
- 🦕 Disables Chrome dinosaur game
- 🏄 Disables Edge surfing game

Hide NextDNS from System Tray
For Windows 10:
- Right-click on the taskbar and select "Taskbar settings"
- Scroll down to "Notification area"
- Click "Select which icons appear on the taskbar"
- Find "NextDNS" and toggle it OFF
For Windows 11:
- Right-click on the taskbar and select "Taskbar settings"
- Click "Taskbar corner overflow"
- Find "NextDNS" and toggle it OFF
✅ Setup Complete! NextDNS is now running in the background, filtering internet content to prevent gaming sites access. The application is hidden from users and secured against easy removal.
Notes for IT Staff:
- NextDNS will continue running even after hiding from tray
- Users will now need administrator credentials to uninstall any software
- Gaming and entertainment sites will be blocked according to the configured policy
- To verify NextDNS is working, visit: test.nextdns.io
