Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of The Artifact Catalog at artifacton.com (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

2. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at admin@artifacton.com if you suspect unauthorized use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. User submissions and content

The Service lets you submit links to public Claude artifacts along with related titles, descriptions, tags, images, and comments ("Submissions"). You retain any rights you hold in your Submissions. By submitting, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, and distribute your Submissions for the purpose of operating and promoting the Service.

You represent and warrant that:

• You have the right to submit the content and to grant the license above.
• Links you submit point to genuinely public artifacts and do not circumvent access controls.
• Your Submissions do not infringe any intellectual-property, privacy, or other rights, and do not contain unlawful, harmful, deceptive, or malicious material.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Post content that is illegal, infringing, defamatory, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or that exploits or endangers minors.
• Upload malware or attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems.
• Scrape, spam, manipulate votes, impersonate others, or misuse the submission or comment features.
• Use the Service in violation of any applicable law or the terms of any linked platform, including Anthropic's and Claude's terms.

5. Moderation

All submissions are reviewed before appearing in the catalog, and we may edit, recategorize, remove, or refuse any content, and may suspend accounts, at our discretion and without notice, to keep the Service safe and useful.

6. Intellectual property

The Service itself, including its design, text, and software (excluding user Submissions and third-party artifacts), is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by applicable laws. You may not copy or reuse it except as permitted by law or with our written permission.

7. Third-party content and links

Artifacts and other linked materials are created by third parties and are user-generated and unverified. We do not endorse, and are not responsible for, their content, accuracy, safety, or availability. You access them at your own risk.

8. Disclaimers

The Service and all content are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars (US $100).

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your Submissions, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or the rights of others.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without cause. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable where the operator of the Service is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be subject to the courts of that jurisdiction, unless mandatory local law provides otherwise.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will update the "Last updated" date above.
